Pastor Anteneh's story

Pastor Anteneh is a native of Ethiopia. He earned his undergraduate degree in Theology from the Mekane Yesus Theological Seminary in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and his Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA. Now (United Lutheran Seminary)

Pastor Anteneh sensed his call to ministry in his teenage years and served as a young evangelist preaching the gospel in his home country.

Pastor Anteneh and his wife Sophia moved to the United States in August 2006 as the Green Card lottery winners, which he believed was a sign of God's call to serve the American people.

Pastor Anteneh started his first call on January 1, 2012, at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, VA where he served as an Associate Pastor.

Pastor Anteneh was called to Advent Lutheran Church to serve as an associate pastor on September 30, 2018, and four years later October 16, 2022, he was called again to serve as a lead pastor of Advent Lutheran Church.

Pastor Anteneh loves running and hiking in the neighborhood trails but he is not a loyal fan of any KS sports clubs yet.

Pastor Anteneh is married to Sophia Fekade and together they have three children, Yonni, Yohanna, and Barry.
