CURRENT UPDATES for youth ministry:

Middle school and high school youth have been gathering virtually, weekly, via Zoom and connecting daily through an app called GroupMe. This will continue as large groups, though we seek to meet in small groups in July. To stay up-to-date on our plans, haven't been receiving emails, or need to join the GroupMe, please reach out to Megan at . If your youth is antsy to get out, we are teaming up with other youth directors in the area to do a safe service trip in July. More information here:

CURRENT UPDATES for children's ministry:

Our Sunday School teachers have been creating videos for our students and posting them on our Advent Olathe Children's Ministry Page, as well as our main Advent Olathe page. We have moved to posting once a week on these pages - Sunday mornings at around 9:30 pm. There will be no traditional Vacation Bible School this summer; we are in hope to do some family-friendly activities in July as well as a day VBS in August. For now, we are encouraging our families to use Camp Tomah Shinga's daily videos as resources for students to participate in throughout the summer:

The spiritual development of a child starts at birth.  Advent has many ways to help parents in the spiritual development of their children.  The Faith Stepping Stones program listed below marks the milestones in that faith journey starting with baptism and continuing on through graduation.

Advent offers a preschool program starting at age 3.  Sunday School and Wednesday night activities.  Confirmation for Middle School aged children and a Youth Group for the High School Youth. There are also various special activities throughout the year such as VBS, Mission Trips, Confirmation Camps, Art Camps, and etc. for children to become involved in.

Wednesday Night Programming

During the school year on Wednesday nights, Advent offers a variety of youth programming! Please click on whatever interests you below to find out more!

God's Kids (3 y/o - 3rd grade)

Justice League (4th - 5th grades)

Confirmation (6th, 7th, 8th)

High School Youth Group (9th-12th)

Faith Stepping Stones

The Faith Stepping Stones program seeks to celebrate significant milestones in the faith journey of our children. Stepping Stones begin at baptism and end at high school graduation. Families attend classes together and will be lifted up in a special blessing during worship. We bless the child, gift the family and call parents to the promises of baptism.
